of technical topics using both manual and computerised
search techniques.

- Process modelling and simulation software development and use
- Programming in FORTRAN, BASIC, C (various dialects of
each). Austherm Pty Ltd has used both the Lahey (TM) and Compaq
(TM) and other FORTRAN compilers and linkers. Austherm Pty Ltd has been
able to access subroutines contained in Microsoft Windows (TM)
Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL's) generated by one version of FORTRAN
using programs written by others versions of FORTRAN and other
languages. This has been used to build interfaces between various
commercial software packages.
- Training in the use of technical software. Austherm Pty
Ltd has worked closely with educational organisations.
- Computer modelling of processes for the chemical, energy,
mineral (geology and metallurgical and petroleum industries
in Australia and for CSIRO and University researchers using
the FactSage System, the Austhermochemistry System, CSIRO-Monash
Thermochemistry System and the CSIRO Thermochemistry System.

An Austherm Pty Ltd Principal was a joint developer of the
CSIRO Thermochemistry System Versions III to V and sole
developer of the CSIRO-Monash Thermochemistry System Versions
I and II and the sole developer and maintainer of the
Austhermochemistry System.
